We are a group of industry leaders, students, and researchers collaborating on open-source components and designs to ultimately create N95 quality reusable STOPGAP face masks.
COVID19 has revealed a weakness in existing supply chains and production methods for N95 face masks. This group aims to support decentralized production of quality face masks for use as STOPGAP solutions by creating easily reproducible open-source components. We think a modular system of components, compatible with various mask bodies and filters, offers better support for decentralized production.
We are part of a large collaborative effort of research teams from multiple institutions, spearheaded by UHN APIL.
